Peggy Ann Simon 86, passed away 10/11/2017. She was
born 12/03/1930 in Oxford, Mississippi. She relocated as a
youth to Miami, Florida. She attended Ponce DeLeon
School in Coral Gables, Florida. She married, and had 4
children. After obtaining her nursing degree at age 40, she
remarried and relocated to Tucson, Arizona for 17 years,
until returning to Lake City and finally Melbourne, Florida
to be closer to family.
She had a caring and giving sole to care for others, along
with a special love for animals. She especially loved her
horse Charley growing up, and all the several dogs she
owned through out her lifetime, with all her heart. She had
a certain love for flowers, and enjoyed her time being
outside in her yard working in the garden. She enjoyed
listening to music, especially Piano, Big Band, Jazz, and
The Rat Pack. She loved sewing, making raggedy Ann
and Andy dolls, Painting, Playing Yahtzee, and taking our
special annual trips with family, to the North Carolina
mountains. She cherished her memories of being a candy
girl at the theater at age 14, being a majorette in the High
School Band, and her memories of sailing. Some of the
special treats she enjoyed were Chocolate milk, cake and
her favorite treat was Hersey kisses.
She was our mentor, advisor, partner, and best friend in
life. She was a wonderful Mom,Grandmother, Aunt, Sister,
and Friend who will be missed more than any words can
express. She will forever be in our hearts and is now our
angel, who will be sending us messages from heaven.
Preceded in death by her 2 siblings: Jack Luffman & Sister
Betty Carter. 4 Biological children Daughter: Kathie
Kinkaid/ Ray, Daughter: Pamela Brodhead/Ken, Son: Larry
Ingoe, Son: Freddie Ingoe/Renee. Grandchildren: Tommy
Kinkaid, Scott Kinkaid, and Karalyn Aronow, nieces,
nephews, as well as many other family and friends. In Lieu
of flowers mom desired memorial contributions to the
Humane Society or THE SACRAMENTO SPCA.
