Malabar
Paul Joseph Albert, 78, native of Maine, died peacefully at his home in Malabar, Florida on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Born in 1932, Paul was one of six children of Dr. Armand and Marie (Lussier) Albert of Van Buren. After receiving his B.S. from St. Michael's College, Paul obtained his Pharmacy degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. A longtime resident of Westbrook, Paul spent his professional career as a pharmacist, a vocation he truly enjoyed. He eventually built a chain of retail pharmacies, and ended his career working for the Hannaford Company.
An avid sailor and traveler, Paul enjoyed life to its fullest, whether skiing Sugarloaf, sailing with friends across the Atlantic Ocean to Europe, or traveling the world over. Predeceased by his beloved wife and traveling companion, Donna (Williams) and his sister, Madeleine Cyr, Paul is survived by his loving companion Joyce Guzowski. Also surviving Paul are his stepson, Martin Patrizi, Marty's wife Jeanne (Sirois) and their daughters, Lindsay and Renee, of Strafford, New Hampshire; Paul's stepson, John Patrizi of Portland, and his daughter, Nicole Albert of Middlesex, New Jersey. Paul's brothers Louis of Pierrefonds, Quebec, Paul Andre (Andy) and his wife Jean of San Jose, California, Marcel and his wife Mary Rose of Stoddard, New Hampshire, and Gilles, of Christchurch, New Zealand, also survive and will greatly miss their much-loved brother. Friends and other family members far too numerous to mention hold Paul close in their hearts and will miss him always.
A memorial service to celebrate this great man, to be held in Maine, will be announced at a future date.
