IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patrick John
Murphy
September 19, 1961 – June 3, 2024
Patrick John Murphy, aged 62, passed away on June 3, 2024, in Melbourne, FL. He was born on September 19, 1961, in Cheyenne, WY. He attended many schools since his father was stationed all over the US and Europe. His family moved to Melbourne in 1972. He graduated from Eau Gallie High School in 1980. Patrick was stationed at KI Sawyer AFB from 1982-1985, then returned to Melbourne and opened a mobile boat repair business with his father. In 1988, he was employed by Lockheed Martin, later United Launch Alliance, until he passed away. He was hired as a payload tech and eventually became the lead payload engineer. He enjoyed his job, sending many satellites and interplanetary space craft on their missions. His knowledge, intuitiveness, and common sense will be sorely missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Ellie Murphy; and his sister, Janet A Foster. Patrick is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Teresa T Murphy; his daughter, Coni A Murphy; sons, Darrell B Murphy (Leah) and Michael P Murphy; and four grandchildren, Amber, Jon, Jeremiah, and Ben; sister, Suzanne Baker (Mark); and brother, Robert Murphy (Kim).
Patrick was active in the Super Seniors Men's softball league. He enjoyed offshore fishing, traveling, and hiking with his high school sweetheart and wife, Teresa. He had a heart for serving friends, widows, and pastors. Always wanting to glorify God with the many talents he was given. He never wasted a chance to share the gospel with those that God brought across his path.
