Patricia Carpenter, 93, of Melbourne, Florida, formerly of Richmond, Vermont, passed on August 18, 2015.

She was born October 18, 1921, to John T. and Bessie Sadler. She married Wesley S. Carpenter on October 31, 1945. Wes and Pat raised their family in Richmond where in the years following they ran a successful family business.

Pat was a longtime member of the Richmond Congregational Church and the Beacon Light Grange # 557. She worked for many years in the Richmond School system, and later the Mount Mansfield School system, in both the hot lunch programs and the libraries.

Her memories will be cherished by her children and grandchildren: Janet Cronin and her husband David, Marvin Carpenter and his children, Wesley and Mallory Carpenter, Brenda Carpenter and her children, Cayce Ludwar and Corey Latulippe, Tom Carpenter and his wife Susan, and their children, Lindsey Burnett and Chelsea Carpenter. Memories of her will also be cherished by her 12 (soon to be 13 ) great-grand children. She was predeceased by her husband, Wesley S. Carpenter, and their son, Paul W. Carpenter.

A celebration of her life will be held 1pm, Thursday, August 27th at the Richmond Congregational Church, Richmond, Vermont.
