Nick Antonio
Monteleone
Sep 21, 1942 — Oct 15, 2019
Melbourne
Nick A. Monteleone Jr, passed away Tuesday October 15, 2019 in Melbourne, FL into the Arms of Our
Loving Savior.
He was born in Butler, PA on September 21, 1942 to the late Nick and Helen Monteleone. He survived
his sister Rose and brother Pat. He leaves behind his older siblings Mary and Richard. Nick entered the
United States Marine Corps shortly after High School and served 5 years for his country. He met the love
of his life Virginia A. Monteleone in the winter of 1964 when he was home on leave. We all love to hear
the story of how they met. They were married the next year in Butler, PA. on August 14, 1965. They had
four beautiful children: Lewis, Lori, Heather and Chuck who he cherished dearly.
Nick was an incredible athlete and played baseball growing up. His athletic skill allowed him the
opportunity for a try out with a minor league baseball team while in the Marine Corps. Unfortunately,
he never was able to make the try out. His other hobbies included softball, golf, fishing, swimming, and
biking.
He was employed by the City of Butler, PA as a Police Officer after leaving the service. He then worked
as a Chevy automotive salesman before retiring in Florida.
Nick was blessed to become a grandfather for the first time in 1994 when Joshua and Megan came into
his world. He was blessed again years after that with 3 more grandsons- Anthony, Aaron, and Logan as
well as 3 more beautiful granddaughters: Stephanie, Morgan, and Haidyn. Little Jaxson was his last
grandson giving him a total of 9 Grandchildren to watch grow up and be such a significant part of their
lives. Last year, he was blessed to have his first Great grandchild Wyatt. Nick will be forever be
remembered and cherished by his wife, children, his siblings and their children and mostly by his loving
grandchildren…as his legacy will live on in these future generations.
In March of 2003 he laid his heavenly angel Lori to rest. It is never easy to have a child go before her
time. He will be reunited with her and Our Heavenly Father as they welcome him into this new life that
awaits.
It is never easy for any family to experience the death of someone they loved so dearly. Nick will always
be remembered by his family as a man who loved their mother more than life itself, and who cherished
his children, grandchildren, and great grandchild to the end of time. We will see him again one day and
all be united as the Monteleone Family they he helped build.
We love you Nick Monteleone forever and ever you will be in our hearts.
Nick's funeral mass will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on October 26th at 10:30 AM
Address is 1710 Hickory St. in Melbourne, FL. 32901.
