Nancy Lou Swartz (Joubert) went home to our Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday October 7th, 2020 with her daughter & son in law by her side.
She was born to the late Ralph and Mildred Joubert in Glenns Falls New York on October 2, 1946. She is also preceded in death by her step mother Shirly, Uncle Buster & Aunt Marion Hoskins, her husband Ernest R. Swartz (married October 13, 1964) and her grandson William R. Davis Jr.
Nancy was a long time resident of Melbourne Florida. In her younger years Nancy worked as a nurses aide at Carnegie Gardens Nursing Home. Later she enjoyed her work as a custodian at Creel Elementary school in Melbourne. Nancy was an amazing cook & baker. It gave her great pleasure to cook for family and friends, especially at Christmas time. She enjoyed collecting costume jewelry, snowmen & decorative ribbon. She was a fan of Steven King novels, sci-fi & horror movies, thrift store shopping and road trips with family. Most of all she enjoyed just being near her family & pets.
Nancy has left behind the following: her siblings: Paul Joubert of Indian Harbor Beach, Sharon Lishamer, Sue Turnner and Barbara Whipple. Her children; Daniel Swartz (Lucy) of Ohio, Kerrie Davis (William Sr.) of Melbourne and David Swartz of Melbourne. Her grandchildren; Duncan Swartz of Ohio and Chelsea Brock (Swartz) of Ohio, Bridget Davis of Melbourne and Amanda Thomas (Davis{Rodney}) of Melbourne. She has also left behind several great grandchildren to include William Davis III, Mason Davis, and Forrest Thomas. She was excited to be awaiting the arrival of one more great grandchild (Thomas) in April 2021.
She wished us to not cry for her and to play the song Spirit in the Sky by Norman Greenbaum while remembering all the good times.
There will be no service at this time as she wished to be cremated.
Above all we are thankful to know that Nancy was a believer and now she is celebrating in the presence of God in Heaven with her husband, the love of her life and family.
