Obituary

Carmela M. Campagna, known by all as "Millie", went home to the Lord during Holy Week on, April 4th 2015. Millie was born April 12, 1927 in New York, NY and had been a resident of Florida since 1964. She was a homemaker most of her life, after several years as a Health Care worker in NY.

Millie was preceded in her death by her husband, Anthony S. Campagna. Married for 57 years, they had 3 children; son, Dominick A. "Tom" (Denise) Campagna; daughters, Violet-Gae (Mark Cervio) Campagna and Joanne (Graham) Lyle. She is also survived by her brother, Frank Leonardo; 11 grandchildren, Nicole (David) Cannon, Lauren (Philip) Paviol, Tommy Campagna, Sabrina (Luis) Carreja, Graham(Jeni) Lyle lll, Anthony (Josh) Lyle, Rodney Plumley, Rachel (Giovani) Carrion, Rebecca (Georgie) Flores, Regina Plumley and Mark Campaga-Cervio. Millie was a Glorious Great Grandma to 20 great-grandchildren.

Millie had a wonderful relationship with the Lord and was an active member of Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne, FL, when she was healthier. She later came to live with her daughter Joanne and son-in-law Graham on Merritt Island as she needed home care; it was there she became involved with Grace United Methodist Church with her daughter Joanne and her family. As time passed Millie's illness brought her to a wheelchair full time and with that she came to live in Cocoa Beach at her daughter and son-in-law's Assisted Living Facility. This move allowed her to have full time care and the pleasure of ministry from Our Saviors Catholic Church. Millie enjoyed sitting in the sun, sewing, crossword puzzles, reading, playing group games like Bingo, various card games, as well as arts and crafts. But her true enjoyment came from her love of Family. She felt her days were blessed if she had her family in her surroundings.

Services will be held 6pm, Friday, April 17th, 2015 at Grace United Methodist Church, 65 Needle Blvd., Merritt Island, FL.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, Melbourne. An online guestbook may be signed at www.davisseawinds.com.
