Sue Wathen, 92, of Vero Beach passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 15th at Williams Child's Hospice House near Mebourne, FL.

She was born in Armstrong Missouri. She grew up on a farm. She met her husband Bill at the University of Missouri. She also lived in Detroit and West Bloomfeld, MI and Paris, France.  She retired to Garden Grove in Vero Beach in 1993. They regularly attended Christ By The Sea Methodist Church. Bill passed away in 2003.

Sue worked as a book keeper to help put her sons through college. She traveled extensively around the U.S. and the World. Her hobbies included gourmet cooking, gardening, sewing, and painting nature.

Family was always the most important part of her life. Surviving family include: Ken and Diane of Vero Beach and Melbourne, FL, Kirk and Jan of Stuart, Fl;  grandchildren: Kevin of Lake Dillon, CO; Kimberly and Jason McAdams of Portland OR,  and Eric and Morgan of Portland, OR; and two great grandchildren Kingston and Lincoln of Portland, OR. We are so blessed for our time here on earth with her. We will miss her greatly.
