Michael S. "Yank" Yankovich, 95, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2014 surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on September 3, 1919 in New Salem, PA. He served 30 years with the USAF, retiring as a CMSGT. The Air Force was where Yank met Mary, his wife of 58 years who predeceased him in 2010. He was a WWII and Korean War veteran. He was also a devout husband, father and Christian.
He is survived by his children, Michael G. Yankovich (Jennifer), Renee Yankovich, Mark Yankovich and Michelle Antenori (Ralph) of Herrick Center, PA; sister, Betty Ziots; brother, Bernard Yankovich (Bernice) and seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. A Celebration of Yank's Life will be held at 10AM on Monday, December 15th at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne. Entombment with full military honors will be held at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge.
