Obituary

Michael Sidney Rinck, 71, of Malabar went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 3, 2022
with Jodie by his side.
He was born in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Robert C. Rinck and Dorothy Zimmers on
February 12, 1951. He graduated from Taft High School 1970 where he was a part of the
football team.
He moved to Malabar, FL and lived here from 1972 – 2022, 50 years. He loved this
place and knew this is where he wanted to live.
He was a very talented and excellent carpenter. He built many houses around here
including his own. He worked for Grady Stewart, Morelli, MH Williams, Diprima, jobs
for Grumman and others. He then became self-employed. His last jobs before becoming
self-employed were the Green Turtle, Palm Bay Ford and The Stadium and he traveled
building shoot houses.
Mike loved to cook ham and bean soup, also chicken and dumplings. He loved to read
National Geographic's, Smithsonian and history. He loved nature. The Sandhill Cranes
and their babies lived in the wetlands behind the house. He collected dead frogs, snake
skins and his two gigantic rattlesnakes he was so proud of killing that are mounted on a
board. These snakes were killed behind this church where he had built a house for his
family.
He and Jodie went to Costa Rica for 2 weeks and Hawaii while he worked on the job at
the police shooting range.
He loved looking at trees and nature on the Blue Ridge Parkway and back dirt roads. He
liked watching Joel Osteen. He loved his beagles Stitches and Flora. He loved all sports,
especially football and golf. He loved watching documentaries especially about Abe
Lincoln who was born the same day. He loved Mr. Glatter. He was amazed at his garden.
He is survived by his son Clayton Neiman of Lexington, KY and his wife Kitty, also his
beautiful granddaughters, Bethany, Zoe and Reagan. Also his sister Sally (Gary) Thomas
and nieces. Sally told him to take care of his mom and sister Barbara(Harold) Hammond.

Also surviving is Jodie L. Valentine, his significant other of 25 years.
A park bench will be donated in his memory at First Baptist church of Malabar, Fl.
Millikin Woods Park, Hamilton Ohio.
