IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Merritt Bradley
Carty
April 3, 1936 – November 17, 2025
Merritt Bradley "Brad" Carty, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025, in hospice care.
He was born to the late Merritt and Agnes Carty on April 3, 1936, in Dover, Delaware. Brad graduated from Chester High School in Chester, PA, in 1954 and served in the Navy on the battleship New Jersey from 1954 to 1958 during the Korean War. Brad worked in direct sales for most of his life. He was conscientious about his work and earned many awards for his outstanding achievements.
Brad was a member of the VFW, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, and the Palm Bay Senior Citizens Club. He was an avid golfer until his health prevented him from playing.
Brad had a zest for life and never met a stranger. He and Judy enjoyed entertaining and traveling, and they were always the first on the dance floor.
Brad is survived by his wife and love of his life for 41 years, Judy Buddin Carty of South Carolina; three children: B.J. Carty and wife, Randi, of Wexford, PA; David Carty and wife, Melanie, of Tallahassee, FL; and Darrin Carty and wife, Roxanne, of Crestview, FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Mallory and Max Carty of Tallahassee, FL; Zack Carty and wife, Samantha, of Crestview, FL; and Sydney Carty of Tampa, FL; as well as his great-grandchildren, Grayson and Ainsley Carty of Crestview, FL, and his sister, Carolyn Carty of Palm Bay, FL.
A celebration of life with military honors will be held at a later date.
