With hearts full of gratitude for a life well lived, we honor the beautiful legacy of Meldra Thompson Vicario. A woman of incredible energy, Meldra filled the world with quick wit and loved fiercely. She embraced every moment with curiosity, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched. Despite battling an aggressive form of lung cancer, she was determined to greet each day with a sunny disposition.

A talented seamstress from a young age, she received her first sewing machine in high school. Her passion and creativity were evident in the stylish clothing she made for herself and others. From fashionable coordinating outfits and choral concert dresses to wedding gowns, teddy bears, and quilts, she was always learning and trying something new.

When she wasn't sewing, she found joy in playing bingo with her many friends at the 55+ Club, taking road trips to casinos, decorating her home with dragonfly décor, watching birds at her feeder, and spending time outdoors with her plants.

She is survived by her loving family: her mother, Gloria McCravy Howe; daughters, Elita Sharpe and Allison Sharpe; grandchildren, Faith, Daniel, and Christopher Mazzone; aunt, Sandra McCravy; brother-in-love, Brad Petty; and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and friends.

Meldra's generosity, intelligence, and humor touched everyone she met. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held at Satellite Beach United Methodist Church, 450 Lee Avenue, Satellite Beach, FL, from 2:00–4:00 PM on Thursday, June 5, 2025.
