Melanie Sheffield was a caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on March 30, 2022 at age 46.

She was born at 2nd General Hospital, Landstuhl, Germany to Paula Penhallegon on November 8, 1975 and grew up in Michigan and Florida.

Melanie married Robert Sheffield.  Together, they have 2 amazing sons: Robert and Liam.

Melanie loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her boys. She was an amazing mother and a supportive, loving wife.  She had a laugh that would brighten any room.

She enjoyed cooking, scuba diving, reading, Harry Potter, and everything Michigan - the Detroit Lions and Mackinaw, where she spent summers with her Grandmother while growing up.  She loved all animals and was passionate about pet rescues.

Melanie was an instructional assistant for exceptional education Voluntary Pre-Kindergarden at University Park and Riviera Elementary Schools in Brevard County, Florida, where she adored her students.

Melanie is survived by her husband, Robert, her sons Robert and Liam, her mother Paula Penhallegon, her brother Evan, and many family and friends who love her.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Melanie on April 16, 2022 at Riverview Park, 2400 Riverview Drive, Melbourne, Florida. Please drop by for a casual gathering any time between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
