Mary Ruth Stein (Laur), of Baltimore, MD born June 14, 1937, went to Heaven November 3, 2021.

She was born in Baltimore, MD to George Laur and M. Ruth Shea. She attended St. Bernard's Catholic School and graduated from The Catholic High School of Baltimore.  She married Carroll Joseph Stein, July 23, 1960 (he passed in 2017).

When living in Sykesville, Maryland she was involved in several community outreach ministries - Mission of Mercy and the Linus Project, while she attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church.  She joined Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne, FL in 2011 and belonged to several community outreach groups and organizations including the ACCW and LAOH.

She is survived by her brother and his wife, Tim and Betty Laur of Annapolis, MD, cousin, Kay Adamecz of Catonsville, MD, cousins, Susan and Kurt Nagl, of Fallston, MD; as well as, her 2 daughters, Diane Rhodes of Lancaster, PA ; and Jill Hogan and husband Michael of Melbourne, FL.  Along with her grandchildren Will Aldrich and wife, Alicia of Carlisle, PA; Joseph Aldrich and Brianna Dean of Wrightsville, PA and Josh Aldrich and Brittany Jones of Lancaster, PA  and Sam Hogan and his wife, Susan and great granddaughter, Rylie of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Nicholas Hogan of Melbourne, FL, John Hogan and Shannon Fagan of Durham, NC and Shannon Hogan of Melbourne, FL.  And her great grandchildren Makayla, Reese and Samantha Aldrich of Carlisle, PA and MacKenzie Aldrich of Wrightsville, PA.

A brief family service will be held in the chapel at Ascension Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 1pm.
