Mary Jeanne Nicolucci, 84 of Melbourne Florida died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, August 2, 2023 with family by her side.

She was born to Yvonne Hutcherson and the late Lorenzo Brodeur on August 2, 1939 in Holyoke Massachusetts. Jeanne graduated from Homer High School with honors in 1957 and  received her  BA in French from Nazareth University in 1961.

She married the late Louis Nicolucci in 1961 and they lived many places together (Greece, Italy, and five states) before relocating to Melbourne in 1991.

Jeanne taught piano in high school and was a French and English teacher after college. She was passionate about sharing her love for languages with students.  She was also a church music director and organist for many years.

She was an active member of Patrick Air Force Base Catholic Parish and Ascension Catholic Parish. She was active in the Air Force Sergeant's Association and the Sweet Adelines choir for many years.

She loved her family, her pets, genealogy, music, travel, gardening, and languages.

Jeanne is survived by her mother, Yvonne Hutcherson, her children Michael (fiancée Stella Pappalardo) Nicolucci of Scottsdale, Arizona, Guy (Lesley) Nicolucci of Caldwell, New Jersey and Steven (Nancy) Nicolucci of Enterprise, Alabama. She's also survived by five grandchildren: Lindsay, Andrew, Katie, James and Allison.

A funeral service will be scheduled for the fall in New England where she will be buried with her beloved husband, Lou.
