Mary Jean Landfried, 79, passed away peacefully into the open arms of the Lord on Wednesday, September 11th, 2013, in Viera, FL. She was born in Rowley, IA on June 1st, 1934 to the late John and Lyda Johnson-Wilson. Mary relocated to Brevard County in 1954. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, caretaker and friend. Her family was so proud of her many accomplishments, including her commitment to the Harbor City Volunteer Ambulance Squad achieving the title Director of Operations, serving as Assistant Supervisor of Elections for Brevard County, and her active involvement in the Toastmistresses. She was also a charter member of the Palmdale Presbyterian Church in Melbourne. Mary was very independent, strong spirited and adventurous. She appreciated nature, enjoying camping and being outdoors. Mary leaves memories to be cherished by her children, Dale (Susan), Elaine (Greg) Henry and Kirk (Amy); sister, JoAnn Olson; 8 grandchildren, whom she shared a special relationship with each, Jessica, Rachel, Justin, Nikki, Benjamin, Joseph, Paige and Shelby; 3 great-grandchildren; and very dear friends Joan and Bob Ebaugh. She was predeceased by her daughter, Dawn Palermo and brother, Tom Wilson. Family will greet friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Palmdale Presbyterian Church, 684 N.
