Mary-Jo Theophilus Gems Wilkison, 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 4, 2013 in West Melbourne, Fl. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 15, 1931 to the late William and Florence (Ayres) Theophilus. Formally of Miami and Ocala, Florida. Mary-Jo moved to Melbourne 6 years ago. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She loved her dog - Oreo and enjoyed golfing, fishing & watching football. Mary-Jo leaves memories to be cherished by her husband, Hood Wilkison, whom she married on November 16, 2007; sons, John A. Gems of Miami, FL., Bruce Gems of Ocala, FL. (Roxann), Tommy Gems of Miami, FL and sister, Judie Houdek (Bob) of Racine, WI; and Hood's children Joyce (Mac), Donna (Stan), Tom (Ginny), and Judi (Steve); several grandchildren, nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews. Mary-Jo was predeceased by her first husband, John T. Gems; sons; Tony Gems, Billy Gems & Ralph Gems. Special thanks to Hospice of St. Francis and Divine Living, for their care, love, and support. Family will greet friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 9th at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 3:30 p.m.
