Mary Lou Green, 85, of Melbourne, FL passed away July 1st, 2016 in the loving presence of her family.

She was born March 15th, 1931 in Manchester, CT to Harry and Mary Goodwin. Mary Lou graduated from Manchester High School. She was married to George Green Jr. on October 14th, 1950. Mary Lou shared her compassion with many through her nursing career in oncology at Holmes Regional Medical Center and as a hospice nurse with Health First.

Mary Lou was an active member of Palmdale Presbyterian Church in Melbourne. She enjoyed her involvement with the Ruth Dorcas Circle, Presbyterian Women and was also a deacon for her beloved church. She loved to knit, especially the baby caps for the newborns at Health First in Melbourne. Her other loves included gardening, reading and family reunions at Vogel State Park in Georgia.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband George and her children Gwen (Ray) Graphman of Blairsville, GA; Jennifer (William) Pettey of Fort Worth, TX; Janet Green of Melbourne, FL and Marianne (Terry) Stallings of Palm Bay, FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren (Trey, Nicholas, Natalie, Nathan, Alicia, and Kelli) and two great grandchildren (Lizzi and Mary Nicole).

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 18th at Palmdale Presbyterian Church, Melbourne, Florida, at 11:00 am with a light lunch to follow.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Health First or Palmdale Presbyterian Church.
