Mary Chaffin, 96, died at her home on February 8th . She was born on October 7th , 1926 in Cookeville, Tennessee to the late Horace and Edith Huddleston. She is survived by her son James Jr., brother Kenneth, sister Jaunita, and several nephews and nieces. Her brothers William and Robert, sister Betty and a nephew and niece predeceased her.

She married James Chaffin in April of 1960 and the couple resided happily in Melbourne for 53 years until his death in 2013. Mary  provided a good home for the family and was a loving, thoughtful friend and neighbor. She was well known for her cooking, baking and craft making skills and sharing those creations with others. She also enjoyed travel, gardening, reading, and dearly loved time spent with family and friends. Mary will be remembered for her kind heart, compassion, quiet faith, and positive nature. "I've lived a good life", she often said. "I'm very blessed".

There will be a visitation at 1PM followed by a memorial service at 2 on Friday February 17th at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home, 560 Montreal Ave, Melbourne, FL 32935.
