Eau Gallie

Mary L. Caldwell, 73, departed this life and joined her Heavenly Father on Friday, June 27, 2014. Born on January 13, 1941 in Doylestown, OH to the late Frank and Ora Piens-Wolff. Mary was one of seven children. She leaves many memories to be cherished by her beloved husband of 51 years, Hal; daughter, Beth Prawl (Pete); granddaughter, Katie; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was predeceased by her daughter, Catherine Caldwell in 1981. Mary was a long time resident of Eau Gallie and graduated from Melbourne High. She was gainfully employed as a bookkeeper at the Florida Air Academy up until her illness. She will be remembered as the matriarch of her family, who just loved to organize family gatherings and prepare lavish desserts. She was a proud member of a local sorority, Beta Omicron Master, and an active parishioner of Ascension Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11a.m. on Monday, June 30th at Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne with interment to follow at the Melbourne City Cemetery.
