IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mark Edward
Mcbee
May 12, 1961 – February 24, 2025
Mark Edward McBee, 63, of Melbourne Beach Florida, passed away on February 24, 2025.
Mark was born on May 12, 1961 in Philippi, West Virginia. He graduated from Philip Barbour High School in 1979 and from Fairmont State College with a BA in Graphic Arts in 1984. Mark worked as a graphic designer and project manager for Gannett Offset for 30 years. He was retired at the time of his death.
He spent his days doing everything for everyone; he especially loved driving his daughter to her activities and playing golf with friends. He loved traveling in his van with his family to visit friends. He was always finding ways to do things for other people and making life fun for others. He never failed to greet friends and family with a smile and a drink. He coached his older children's youth teams and in the last 5 years, he became the best cheer dad. He was the favorite dad/uncle of all his nieces, nephews and countless friends of his children. He was truly a kid at heart and was usually playing with the kids in the surf rather than sitting on the beach.
Mark was the son of Norma Malcolm Martin (deceased) and James Edward McBee (deceased) and stepson of James Martin (deceased). He is survived by his wife Susan Shaw McBee, who he married in 1986, and their three children, Seth (Machi) McBee, Hannah (Claire) McBee and Aisling McBee. He also has three grandchildren, Aya McBee, Emilia McBee and Esmé McBee.
Mark also leaves behind his brother James Todd (Sonia) McBee and sister Jamie (Brian) Carpenter as well as his father-in-law, sisters- and brothers-in-law, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him everyday.
A celebration of life will be held for Mark in his hometown of Philippi, West Virginia at a later date to be determined. In lieu of flowers donations in Mark's honor can be made to Sea Turtle Preservation Society 111 South Miramar Ave., Indialantic, FL 32903 https://seaturtlespacecoast.org/
