IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marilyn J
Siravo
December 19, 1935 – December 16, 2022
Our mother's eternal rest came peacefully on December 16, 2022 following a long journey with cancer. Marilyn was born on December 19, 1935 in Vineland, NJ to John B. and Jennie (Ferrari) Smaniotto.
Marilyn graduated from Vineland High School in 1954. She found her first full time job at Newcomb Hospital in the Radiology department. This was the beginning of her medical transcriptionist career. She and her husband, Richard decided to buy their first home together in Willingboro, NJ after living a few years in Philadelphia. Marilyn decided to stay at home and raise her family for 15 years.
She would later work as a medical assistant to doctors, Keith Young and John Philson in Burlington County. Then, she decided to further her knowledge of medical transcription through school and working at Rancocas Medical Center in Willingboro. At retirement, she moved to Florida where she found a second career as a caregiver for Home Instead. This was truly her passion and calling.
Marilyn enjoyed helping others and visits from relatives and friends from New Jersey. Her favorite pastimes were crossword puzzles, jigsaws, reading books about Italy, cooking her favorite Italian foods, going to the pool and beaches, having family for Sunday dinners and trying new recipes.
She is survived by her sons, Vincent Siravo of Vero Beach, FL., Steven Siravo of Melbourne Beach, FL., and Thomas Siravo of Melbourne, FL. Granddaughters Sara Sorrentino and Stacy Siravo. Sister Jeannette Ruth and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard, parents John and Jennie, brothers Louis, Arthur and Peter Smaniotto.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Health First Inc., 1131 W. New Haven Ave. Ste 102, West Melbourne, FL 32904.
A graveside service may be arranged by family. If so, details will be posted here and through social media.
