Marilyn Dolores Kropp, 85, of Indian Harbour Beach, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2026.

Born on January 19, 1941, in Brooklyn, Marilyn was the youngest daughter of the late John and Anna Kmitis and one of seven children. In 1962, she married John Frank Kropp, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage and built a life in New York and Florida centered around family, faith, and friendship.

Marilyn was an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and also enjoyed her involvement with the Elks and Moose lodges. She treasured the many friendships she made through those communities. She especially enjoyed cruise vacations, dancing, and playing card games, and embraced an active social life. She was happiest surrounded by family and friends.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, John; her beloved daughters, Linda and Audra; and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons, Wayne and Darren, and their wives, Monica and Angela. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Christopher, Darren “DJ”, Dawson, John, Alexandra, Jacquelyn, and Cora; as well as close cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in New York at a later date. Details will be announced by the family.
