Margarete Erna Small, of Melbourne, Florida passed away in her sleep on Sunday March 20,2022 at age 86. Margarete was born in Moptau, Kreis Wehlau (Prussia) on April 22, 1935. Margarete was a war refugee (along with her mother and four younger siblings) driven from her family's home and land at age 10 by Russia, eventually settling down in Germany. Margaret was proud of her Prussian heritage.
Margarete was a dedicated mom to her children. She was a kind, honest hard-working person dearly loved by everyone that knew her. She will be missed by her children, Sigrid Schroeder, and Werner Mihal many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life dinner will be held this summer for friends and family to gather and share stories in Margarete's favorite season. Margarete was preceded in death by her mother, Minna Wiedeman Neubauer, and her brothers Otto and Dieter Baehr. She is survived by her beloved sister's Ingrid Roth and Ursel Priester.
