IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Sue
Lee
February 8, 1931 – June 9, 2023
Margaret Sue Lee, 92, died on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Rockledge Regional Medical Center in Rockledge, Florida. She was born on February 8, 1931 in Birmingham, Alabama to Mamie and Sherwood Harper. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Barron (Michael) and Pat Killmer, one granddaughter, Lisa White (Kurt), and two great grandchildren, Emma White and Ian White, all of Melbourne, Florida.
Although Sue lost her father when she was very young, she enjoyed a happy childhood with her mother and loving stepfather, Thomas "Mac" Bowen in Haines City, Florida. Through the years, she worked in the school cafeteria to be near her children. In 1972, Sue began serving as a pastor's wife in Sebastian, Florida and continued for the next 27 years. She loved and supported the local church and demonstrated her faith in countless ways. As a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and Christian witness, she openly showed a deep love for others, and was instrumental in bringing many to a personal relationship with Christ. After retirement in the year 2000, Sue moved back to Melbourne and continued to be an active part of the local church. In her later years, she was blessed with the opportunity to own her own home and enjoyed being with her family and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Eau Gallie First Baptist Church, 1501 W. Eau Gallie Blvd, Melbourne, Florida 32935 on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00 am. Lunch and fellowship will follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate via US Mail to Shiloh Youth Ranch, 10655 Roseland Road, Sebastian, Florida 32958.
