Margaret Adele Lajara, 94, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025, at AdventHealth Hospice in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

Born on March 25, 1931, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Margaret was the daughter of the late Frederick and Cecilia (née Hughes) Glazier.

She was of the Lutheran faith and worked as a bookkeeper for a local CPA firm in Brevard County. Despite facing challenges in her later years, including macular degeneration and other age-related ailments, Margaret remained deeply devoted to her faith and to helping others.

She gave back to her community through volunteer work with Meals on Wheels, Joe's Club in Brevard County, and the Brevard Association for the Advancement of the Blind. Even as her vision declined, she stayed active and committed to supporting her friends and those in need, always maintaining a strong sense of family and purpose.

Margaret is survived by her sons, Richard Hellenberg of Melbourne and Alan Lajara of Casselberry, Florida; her brother, John "Jack" Glazier of Maryland; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Hellenberg, and her second husband, Ralph Lajara.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne, followed by a celebration of her life at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Alexandria, Virginia.
