Margaret Fischer passed away peacefully on January 10, 2017 after a brief illness.
Margaret ("Margie") was born April 16, 1933 in New York City to Karl and Emma Finkendey. She attended Julia Richmond High School in NYC, and has called Melbourne home for the past 25 years.
She was married to Fred W. Fischer, on April 3, 1955, who survives her today after sixty two years of marriage.
Margie was a wonderful loving wife, mom, oma, and friend to so many people. She loved the Lord with all her might. She was a blessing to many and always reminded us how blessed we all are. Margie thoroughly enjoyed her volunteer work at the Candlelighters of Brevard thrift store in Indialantic supporting the needs of children with cancer.
Margie joins her son Kenny in heaven. Her loving memory will always be cherished by her son, Fred Fischer and his partner Linda Beaver of Kernersville, NC; her daughter Sue Heemskerk and her husband Wil of Bonaire, Dutch Caribbean; grandchildren Emily and Erich Fischer of Bonaire; and sister Joan Grotheer of Melbourne. She is also survived by nieces Jerry Nagy and Joanne Grotheer of Pennsylvania.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 12:30pm at Faith Viera Lutheran Church, 5550 Faith Dr, Viera, FL 32955.
