Margaret Bohannon Kellermann Brennan, 92, peacefully passed away on May 10 th , 2019, in Indialantic,
FL. Margaret is survived by her 3 children, Margaret King, Ted Kellermann, & Fred Kellermann, and by
her sister, Catherine Warner. Her husbands, Ted Kellermann, Jack Brennan

in death.

Margaret was born in Miami, FL on May 20, 1926, where she attended Miami High School. As the
United States entered WWII, Margaret married Ted Kellermann. Ted enlisted in the Navy and this
caused Margaret to follow her new husband to California where she worked in the shipyards in support
of the war effort. She often spoke about her six-day journey to/from California on the troop trains.
After WWII, Margaret and Ted had a number of challenging adventures including owning a used car
business, operating a gas station where she pumped gas, and owning a car-painting business where she
sanded cars and mixed paints. All of this happened before Ted began a long career with Southern Bell
Telephone. Meanwhile, Margaret was busy raising 3 kids and spending many afternoons at the baseball
field being Team Mom and official scorekeeper. She also volunteered in the children's schools in the
role of office Nurse. Additionally, Margaret and Ted provided all 3 kids a UF college education debt free,
and the kids gratefully awarded them an Honorary PhD in College Financing after Fred graduated.
After Ted passed away due to illness, Margaret found her second home along a mountain stream
outside of Cosby, Tennessee in 1980. After several years, Margaret became close with Jack Brennan.
Margaret and Ted had been long time friends with Jack and his late wife Jean. They had all four attended
Miami High School together. They had spent holidays together and raised their families together as
close friends and neighbors. Margaret's children, Margaret, Ted and Fred, grew up with Jack's six
children as close friends.

When Jack and Margaret were married in 1985, they lived in Tennessee near the Smoky Mountains
National Park. Jack and Margaret along with Margaret's daughter Margaret and her husband Carl
operated The L Ranch Motel on Highway 321 north of Gatlinburg, TN. They enjoyed country life there
and hiking on the beautiful trails near their cabin on a creek. Jack and Margaret enjoyed their
retirement years building cabins, gardening, sightseeing in Tennessee, and traveling around the country
visiting their extended family members, their children, and friends.
In 1987, Jack and Margaret bought a townhouse near Sebastian Inlet on the Beach. One of Jack's golfing
buddies, Al King (brother Al), married Margaret's daughter Margaret. Al and Margaret have been
instrumental in helping make Jack and Margaret's remaining journey through life a happy and rewarding one.

Margaret was well known for her green thumb and could get anything to grow anywhere, and we mean
anything. This included a Colorado blue spruce in the heat of the Miami summers. She stood proudly in
her backyard on Melbourne Beach next to a row of trees while a local nursey expert told her those trees
couldn't possibly grow on the beach. Margaret had many other hobbies that included sewing, crafting,
genealogy, stamp collecting and raising pets. She was a lovely and caring woman who was full of life and

had a sparking wit that kept everyone laughing. The joyful zest with which she lived will be sorely missed
by all of us.
All of us, Margaret and Jack's children, loved and respected them both. Our spouses, our children, and
their children have received great joy and love from our parents, and we have been blessed to have
them in our lives. We are all so blessed to have been a part of this huge extended Kellermann-Brennan
family and hope that this narrative will encourage all of you to reflect on the joys and positive influences
that Margaret and Jack have provided to all of the extended family and many friends they made during
their life journey.
