Marcy Sue Yearby was born in the Bronx, New York on May 24, 1962 and departed this life on Thursday, May 29, 2014 in Melbourne, Florida. Marcy attended New Paltz College, New Paltz, New York for 31/2 years majoring in psychology. Marcy had a wonderful talent for writing and had a book published titled, "What's a Nice Jewish Lady Doing in a Worship Place Like This?" Marcy had a strong passion for helping people and worked at the Bronx State Hospital and Dutchess County ARC, for mentally challenged patients. Marcy also loved working with children and worked at a Day Care for preschool and kindergarten. Marcy was a volunteer educator at the Children Bible Study Ministry.
Marcy truly enjoyed living; she traveled and was very adventurous. She went on several cruises, sky diving and parasailing. On October 16, 1986, she married her beloved husband, Ricardo D. Yearby, in Poughkeepsie, NY, on February 6, 1987, she had her son, Ricardo G. Yearby. She was one of four children, Nadine Evans and Barry Zadinowsky, who live in California and Rita Taylor in Ohio. Marcy also leaves behind, three nephews and one great niece, three sisters-in-laws and one brother-in-law.
A Celebration of Marcy's Life will be held at 10a.m. on Friday, June 6th at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Melbourne.
