Lyle A. Widmayer moved on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at his home in Melbourne Beach, Florida at the age of 86. He was born in Upham, North Dakota to the late Christian and Pauline Widmayer. Lyle leaves memories to be cherished by his devoted, loving wife of 66 years, Emilie Widmayer; son Warren Widmayer (Bernice); two grandsons; Eric Widmayer (Jennifer) and Brian Widmayer; two sisters; Delores Miller and Evelyn Kunka and a host of loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edgar Widmayer. Lyle loved his family and his country. He loved to travel the United States and to Austria with the love of his life, his wife Emilie. He was a graduate of Washington University; earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Accounting. He retired after a successful 33 year Accounting career with General Electric Company. His hobbies were Photography, Stained Glass and Genealogy. Lyle is a veteran of World War II and the Korean War where he earned two Purple Hearts, two Bronze Battle Stars, Marksman Badges and a host of other medals. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home, 560 Montreal Avenue, Melbourne, FL 32935. The visitation will be from 10:00 - 10:30AM and the service will start at 10:30AM. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery.
