Loren "Larry" James Goude, Sr., 89, of Satellite Beach went to be with our Lord Jesus on Friday, September 6 th , 2019 with family by his side. He was born November 21st, 1929 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He joined the Air Force in 1951 and retired from the military after 28 years of service in 1979. Loren was a graduate of Rollins College and was an Enrolled Agent and tax accountant until he retired in 2015. He was an excellent bowler and an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Loren is preceded in death by his father and mother James E. Goude and Sally Waverick Goude of North Branch, MN, and a granddaughter Rachel Goude of Montgomery, AL. He is survived by his loving wife Amy to whom he was married 52 years, daughter Sally (Rusty) Mitchem of Huntsville, AL, son Loren (Starr) Goude, Jr. of Lynn Haven, FL, adopted daughter Melissa Goude of Sarasota, FL, adopted son Eddie Goude of Orlando, FL; grandchildren Brandy Goude of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Christopher (Mallory) Mitchem of Athens, AL, Jaimee (Tanner) McBee of Pike Road, AL, Jeremy Mitchem of Huntsville, AL, and James (Laura) Goude, III of Wetumpka, AL; great-grandchildren Dylan Motley of Wetumpka, AL, Tannor Mitchem of Huntsville, AL, Reese and John Davis McBee of Pike Road, AL, Carter and Reed Mitchem of Athens, AL, and Walker Goude of Wetumpka, AL; a special nephew and niece Allen and Mimi Chou of Melbourne, FL; and a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law Chang Kud Chen and Chang Kim of Taiwan.
Family will receive friends onThursday September 19, 2019 from 11:30 am- 12:30 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 12:30PM at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel, 560 Montreal Ave, Melbourne, Fl. Inurment with full Military Honours will follow at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at 3 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Health First in Melbourne, FL or the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL. Donations for both can be sent to 1350 S. Hickory Street, Melbourne, FL 32901. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you for the tender care hospice provided Loren during the last year.
