Lois Mae Honeycutt was called home to our Lord May 28, 2025 peacefully, at her home in Palm Bay FL.
Mrs. Honeycutt was born July 9, 1930 to the late Carl and Emma Behnke in Sheboygan, WI.
She was the beloved wife of 70 years to her late husband Donald James Honeycutt, a Navy Korean War veteran. She was a devout Christian and member of the First Baptist Church of Melbourne, attended regularly, sang in the choir, and was loved and respected by so many. Lois and her husband Don were also founding members of First Baptist Church of Indialantic FL.
She volunteered with the March of Dimes and was also active in churches, cancer support groups, nursing associations and was active in the special needs community.
She is preceded in death by her sister Carol and her husband James Nicla of WI.
She adored her family most of all; sons Steven Honeycutt and his wife Sharon of GA, David Honeycutt and his wife Rebecca of VA, William (Bill) Honeycutt and his wife Wendy of FL, daughter Susan Povey and her husband Nick ; She is also survived by her grandchildren; Tari Honeycutt of FL; Kenneth of CA and Donald Honeycutt of FL, James Honeycutt of FL, Christina Frary of PA, Adam and Karl Povey of UK, Her step grandchildren Tim, John, Frank Sollenberger, Olivia and Jarod Chambers, and great granddaughter Oaklynn Chambers, and is preceded in death by her great grandson Richard Honeycutt of GA.She was also dearly loved by her nephews; Jeff, Tim, Brian, and Thom Nicla.
Everyone who knew Lois knows she never had an unkind word to say about anyone. She will be dearly missed, forever. May she rest in peace in the Lord.
A small memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Melbourne FL in the memorial garden on July 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
