Lillian Ruth Remson, 93, of Melbourne, FL died Tuesday, February 25, 2020.  She passed peacefully surrounded by family members and friends.

Lillian was born in South Dakota on February 6, 1927 to the late Berniece and Owen Fay. Lillian grew up on a farm outside of the small town of Milnor, North Dakota. At the age of 17, Lillian left Milnor to travel west to Seattle, Washington. Her travels eventually led her back east to New York City, where she met and married the late John Remson in 1947.  They eventually settled in Levittown, New York where they raised five children.

After John's retirement, the couple moved back to Milnor and enjoyed many happy years together, fishing, golfing, and traveling to visit friends and family. After John's passing, Lillian moved to Melbourne, Florida to be close to family. She enjoyed twelve years living in Melbourne until her passing.

Lillian was a strong and independent woman of many talents. She sewed, crocheted, and played the piano. Two of her passions were bowling and playing cards. She was an excellent Bridge player and a cut throat Skip Bo queen. She loved nothing better than an all-night session of Hand and Foot.  Lillian had a quick wit, a delightful sense of humor, and a kind manner.  She was  loved by all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.

The oldest of five children, Lillian was predeceased by her two sisters, Betty (Norman) Olsen and Marjorie (Al) Brown. She is survived by her two brothers, Gerald Fay and Lonnie (Bonnie) Fay who reside in Arizona.  Lillian was predeceased by a daughter, Debbie Castiglia.  She is survived by her children, John (Karen) Remson of New York, Scott (Nancy) Remson of Melbourne, David (Tim Hershey) of Denver, Jodi (Joe) Tocco of New York, as well as eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will take place this summer at Lakeside Cemetery in Milnor, North Dakota. Interment in the family plot will follow after the service.
