Eau Gallie

Lillian Anna Cockerham, 85, departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Born on September 20, 1928 in Cleveland, OH, Lillian was the beloved child of the late Walter H. and Lillian F. Leverenz - Krueger. Lillian was raised in Cleveland and following her high school graduation she became employed by Bell Telephone Company. She married the love of her life, Frank E. Cockerham on August 30, 1947. They were residents of Parma and Bay Village, OH before moving to Eau Gallie, FL in 1956. She will be remembered as a wonderful and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Lillian was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and volunteered for the Girl Scouts, Brownie Troops, Sunday school and at the church library. She devoted much of her free time to arts and crafts projects. She enjoyed making objects for home dcor, such as plastic canvas images sewn with yarn, water color paintings, flower arranging and embroidery. Lillian leaves many memories to be cherished by her husband of 66 years, Frank; daughter, Bonnie Baldwin (Gil) and son-in-law, Ron Lowery; grandsons, Dan and Ben Baldwin; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Laura Sue Lowery in 2009. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 22nd at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne.
