Liberta (Cericola) Marcianna, 83, of Melbourne, Florida passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis J. Marcianna, Sr. whom she shared 61 years of marriage. She was born on April 22, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Louis and Filomena (Fanny) Cericola. Throughout her early years, she worked as a secretary at a Philadelphia law office until she made the decision to stay home to care for her children. She married Louis Marcianna on April 22, 1961, her high school sweetheart of six years. They started their life and family together in Woodbury, NJ until they retired to Satellite Beach, Florida in November, 1986.

She was the stereotypical Italian homemaker with a sharp wit and a love for feeding everyone around her. She was well known for her homemade pizza, pizzelles, banana bread and chocolate chip cakes. She absolutely loved her Italian heritage. Liberta was often found behind a camera trying to capture the special moments in life with her family. She has left behind endless pictures and video tapes which can be enjoyed forever.

Liberta and Louis had a love for travel. She spent many summers organizing camping trips with her grandchildren and she was always planning trips for the entire family. She could often be found enjoying a good card game while beating her family and friends with a teasing smile. She enjoyed watching her favorite drama shows as well as the Phillies & Eagles games.

Liberta is survived by her children, Kris (Brian), Traci (Steve), Louis, Dena (Christopher); her eight grandchildren, Nicholas (Meagan), Michael, Steven, Brian Jr., Anthony, Kylie, Taylor, and Zach; and three great-grandchildren, Lyla, Duke, and Jaxson, whom she adored. She is predeceased by her brother Louis Cericola and her half-brother Nick Cericola.

A joint memorial service for Liberta and Louis Marcianna will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Infant Jesus Parish-St. Margaret Roman Catholic Church (845 Third Street, Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097). The viewing of Liberta's and Louis' urns and visitation will start at 10:15 AM until 10:45 AM with a mass service following promptly at 11:00 AM.
