Lawrence "Larry" Hutker died at Viera Hospital on January 7, 2018 in Viera, Florida.  Larry was 81.  Larry was born on July 9, 1936 in Decatur, IN to his parents, Everett and Helen Hutker. Larry was a graduate from Decatur High School in 1954,  Larry graduated from Indiana Tech at Fort Wayne with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1961. Larry married his wife, Janet Hetrick, on September 22, 1957.  The Hutker's raised their family and settled homes in Indiana, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and since 1984 have lived Florida.  Larry worked as a Professional Engineer and Janet worked as a Registered Nurse.   He was a recognized expert in the engineering and management of semiconductor clean room and fabrication facilities.  Larry retired from Harris/Intersil in 1998 and dedicated retirement to his wife, family, and friends.  Larry had a passion for golfing, riding his bike and working out at the Health Plex.  Inspiring others with his positive, can do character was his life-long passion.

Larry is survived by his wife, Janet Hutker of Rockledge, FL; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Carla Hutker of Cataumet, MA; Tim and Brenda Hutker of Melbourne, FL; Chris and Lisa Hutker of Port St. John, FL; his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and John Potts of Port St. John, FL.  Larry has two surviving sisters; Virginia Quance of Fort Wayne, IN; Jean Melchi of Lake George, IN; brother Ted Hutker of Tucson, AZ; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.

A public memorial service and celebration of life gathering will take place on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Suntree United Methodist Church, 7400 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL 32940. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Larry's' life.
