Obituary

Laurence Charles Malo,  a.k.a. Larry, Larrikins, Grumps, passed away peacefully at his home in Satellite Beach on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the age of 83.  Born in Boston, MA on March 12, 1934, Larry graduated from Franklin Technical Institute as a Mechanical Engineer. He served in the Navy from 1951 to 1954 during the Korean War.
Larry loved the sea and boats.  He truly enjoyed sailing and made many trips up and down the Eastern Seaboard.   Even in business, he remained in the marine industry with Ideal Transmissions of Salem, MA and Marine Gear of Gloucester, MA.
Larry also liked to stay busy. He was always doing something; whether it was helping a friend or volunteering his time at the American legion or just doing his daily walk on the beach.  He did not like to stay idle.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; children: Gregory, Lee (fiancé, Victoria Mooney), Elizabeth and Robert; grandchildren: Nicholas, Brandon, Alex and Zachary; sisters: Madeline, Evelyn and Lucille; and countless nieces, nephews and friends.   He will be missed by many!
A memorial service will be held at South Patrick Chapel 84 Harrier Avenue, Satellite Beach, FL 32937 , Saturday, February 24 at 11 AM.
