Laura Ann Normyle Woodell born March 30 th , 1968 passed away on Friday May 31,
2019..
Born at George Washington University Hospital in Washington DC, Laura originally
lived in Rockville, MD and grew up in Edgewater, MD. She relocated to Melbourne
Beach, FL in 1989.
Laura was an ambitious over-achiever. She was fun loving, spontaneous and adventurous.
She loved to travel and do everything over the top. She would never say no to anything
from skydiving to scuba diving. She loved anything and everything water related
especially the beach and the boat. Laura could be halfway across the world and run into
someone she knew…and she would talk to anyone anywhere she didn't know!
She was a graduate of UCF, Webster University, and UF Florida School of Banking.
She was a commercial banker by trade but took a Sabbatical in 2013 to join a friend in a
business venture and was successful in being granted a US Patent for their invention.
Laura's biggest influence in life was her Nana, Margaret Cremen Normyle of Bethesda,
MD. Unfortunately, her nana passed before her time. Laura is survived by her husband
of 29 years, John G Woodell, Jr, her parents, Dr and Mrs John M Normyle, her brother
Marine Sgt John M Normyle Jr, his wife Sammie Jane, nephews Jacob and Joseph, and
her very precious GSD Clover.
She was preceded in death by her baby sister Erin Marie Normyle England.
Laura had in-laws and extended family that loved and treated her like a daughter and a
sister. In addition she is the oldest of numerous cousins and has many Aunts and Uncles.
Family and friends from all over the US but most from Maryland, Delaware, Virginia,
West Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and Spain that also survive her.
Per Laura's request, there will be no services. She will be cremated and her ashes will be
will back to the Atlantic.
