Larry Oliver Yarde, born June 12, 1954 in Georgetown, British Guiana (Guyana) is the third of four siblings.  He spent earliest years in the large household of his maternal grandmother Agnita, surrounded by loving aunts, uncles and cousins.  An impish child who had to be monitored closely, he could always be found up to mischievous deed.

Shortly before reaching age five Larry left Guyana to join his mother in London, where he was raised.  He moved to New York City in 1970. Upon leaving high school he joined the military in 1973 initially serving in the 101st Airborne before moving into other positions and spent several years in Germany.

A few years after leaving the army, he moved to Palm Bay, Florida and worked at several jobs until settling into the aviation industry where he remained until his retirement from South East Aerospace in Melbourne.  He spent the last few years caring for his two youngest grandchildren.

Following a setback in his recovery from heart surgery, Larry left us on March 30 to be reunited with his beloved mother Vera.  He is survived by his three children Nikolas, Angelika and Stephanie; grandchildren Nikolas, Jr., Victoria, Matthew, Xavier and Dominick; brother  Jonathan (Barbara); sisters  Floretta (Peter) Deygoo  and Vivienne Kennedy; eight nieces and nephews; aunt Stephanie Cameron;  first cousins Deryck and Colin, with whom he lived most of his early life in Guyana and England, and too many others to list.
