Obituary

Kenneth Paul Blossom, 78, of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida
quietly passed into his final resting place with our Lord on
December 11, 2020 with his loving wife of 42 years, Loretta, by his side,
holding his hand.
Ken was born in Melrose, Massachusetts on November 6, 1942 to
the late Charles and Eleanor Blossom.  He was also preceded in
death by three brothers, Bobby, Charlie and Danny.
In addition to Loretta, Ken is survived by three sons, Andy,
John (Paige), and Mark (Samantha); five grandchildren, Charlie,
Harry, Luke, Emily, and Lola; one brother, Bill (Dody); and four
sisters, Judy, Chris, Ellie and Joann.  There are also many, many
nieces and nephews truly mourning the loss of their favorite uncle.
Ken joined the United States Air Force on March 7, 1961 and served
21 years active duty as a decorated Tech Sergeant in Viet Nam, England, Korea,
Norway, the Philippines, California and Florida.  He retired at Patrick
Air Force Base, Florida on June 30, 1981.  He continued to work at
the base for 31 more years with Civil Engineering and Base Supply, serving
the base and the Space Program at Cape Canaveral.  He loved the Air Force
and it was his honor to serve.
Ken was a devoted husband, a caring brother and a fun dad, granddad and uncle.
He was a friend to all who met him and was always ready with a smile,
a laugh and anyone he was with was laughing as well.  He was sincere,
easy going, and never forgot a face, a name, or a story to tell whenever
he reconnected with anyone.  He was ready and willing to help anyone
whatever the need and literally was a friend who would give you the shirt off
his back.  You never saw Ken without a ball cap and because he was a dedicated
Dolphin fan, if it was not a Dolphin hat, it was a VFW hat.  They just don't make
them like Ken anymore and he would be proud to know his countless friends
locally and all over the world will remember him always as loving life and maybe
making a difference with that eternal grin.  Ken will be truly missed and loved forever.
Ken was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Satellite Beach
and was Commander there four times.  He was also a long time member of
the American Legion.  It was Ken's honor to be a proud Flag Volunteer with
Loretta for many, many years for the 21 Day Flag Salute in Satellite Beach
at the Scotty Culp Municipal Complex, helping to raise and lower the flags morning
and evening from Flag Day through July 4, as well as for any patriotic holiday
when we honor our flag.
No visitation but a service will be held at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home and
Crematory in Eau Gallie, Florida at Montreal and Guava on Wednesday,
January 6, 2021 at 1:00 P.M..
You are welcome to visit Ken's memorial page at www.davisseawinds.com
to offer a message to the family or share a story or pay tribute to Ken.
Flowers for Ken if you wish but a donation in Ken's name to the Satellite Beach VFW
or the Brevard County Humane Society or any organization helping homeless
veterans would help so many and bring Ken's smile from Heaven.
