Kennard Spencer Cloud's Obituary
Kennard Spencer Cloud, Sr., 70, of Palm Bay, Florida passed away December 31, 2015 at William Childs Hospice House.
He was born July 28, 1945 in Delaware to the late Walter and Deborah Cloud, Sr. and had been a resident of Brevard County many years, coming from Boise, ID.
Ken received his Bachelor of Science in 1967 from Clarkson University and in 1976 he received his MBA from Pepperdine University. During that time he worked in various managerial roles for Atex, Harris, Xerox and IBM.
Ken worked 4 years as Marketing Manager and Product Planning for Compugraphic/ AGFA. In 1983, he was the first US based marketing executive of Scitex America Corp. He served as President for Dainippon Screen (Screen USA), and Howtek. In January 1994, Mr. Cloud opened Cloud Information Services, an independent consulting firm which provided marketing and technology consulting services to the graphic arts industry. Ken authored several broad based multi-client market studies for the industry trade associations. Ken served as President of Cloud Information Services for 8 years. In August 1999, Ken served 9 years as worldwide Future Product Marketing Manager for Hewlett-Packard. Ken worked for Seine Technology Company as General Manager for the US Market and worldwide Product Manager. He was responsible for launching Pantum laser printers in the United States Market, which later lead to relocating to Zhuhai, China where he served as the Manager for Product Planning for Pantum International. Prior to retirement, Ken served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Inflexis.
Kennard is survived by his wife of 15 years, Stephanie Cloud, daughter, Marcella Cloud of Pinellas Park, FL; son, Kennard S. Cloud, Sr. of Scottsdale, AZ; step-daughter, Sarah Caldwell of Boise; step-son, Adam Pilant of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Amber Rose Cloud, Gavin Cloud, Elaina Cloud, Bryce Cloud and Griffin Cloud; sister, Deborah Neilson and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Walter J. Cloud, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
