Kathryn Frawley Lazar, loving wife of Joseph Lazar and mother of Kellie Lazar-Smith, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 28th 2013 at home. Born in Bridgeport, CT on August 10, 1944, Kathryn was the daughter of John and Margaret Walsh-Frawley. Kitty graduated from Notre Dame High School in Bridgeport, CT and received her college degree in Education from Our Lady of the Elms College in Chicopee, MA in 1966. Upon graduation, she taught elementary school in Connecticut and Massachusetts. She later became Head of Technical Services at the Emma Clark Library in Setauket, Long Island, NY and more recently worked in the Melbourne Library as a reference librarian. Kitty loved to travel with her husband, and considered their trips to Italy and Ireland as her favorites. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne with a vigil service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne.
