Juana was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on July 20, 1939 to Casimir and Casimira (Koreja) Malisiauskas. She came to the United States in 1951 and married Germinal L. Quiros on July 12, 1958. They started their lives in Boston, Massachusetts and lived all across the country before settling in Melbourne.
As a student, she received her Associates degree from Brevard Community College and was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the Geology Club, where she served as its president and Ascension Catholic Church. Always on the move, Juana learned to ride motorcycles and even took flying lessons.
Juana was a wonderful homemaker. She made everyone feel welcome with her cooking and hospitality. She loved art, music, animals, technology and instilled that love to her children and grandchildren. Juana is survived by her husband of 53 years, Germinal L. Quiros and their four children, Renee (Richard) White, Linda Smith, Eric (Jeanne) Quiros, Judy (Todd) Ellis; three grandchildren, Justin Smith, Kathleen White and Kristen Smith; brother, John Malis of Daytona Beach, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:30PM, Friday, September 16, 2011 at Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne, FL. Family requests donations made to one of the following, Ascension Catholic School, American Cancer Society-Pancreatic and Liver Cancer Research and Hospice-Vitas.
