Joseph (Rick) Fox, 88, sadly passed away on February 5, 2021. He was a devoted husband of Janice, whom he shared 52 loving years.
Born in Manhattan, NY, June 28, 1932, part of a large Irish family, one of 8 siblings. Rick held many different positions throughout his life. Employed over 35 years as a mental health counselor at CT Valley Hospital and a loyal employee of Waverly Printing Co.
Rick was a lifetime member of the Elk Lodge, president of his Condo Assoc, and member of the Italian American Club in FL the ultimate exception was he had no Italian blood in him!
Lifelong passion enjoying the Ocean. History books were his favorite, western films, music, dancing, and playing cards. His favorite teams were Yankees, Giants & Jaguars. Enthusiastic about politics. Rick brought a smile to whomever he met. A charming Irishman made St. Patrick's Day a BIG celebration!
Rick is survived by his wife, Janice; 8 children, Joseph R. (Ute) Fox of Meriden, CT, Edward (Sandy) Fox of Newington, CT , Christopher Fox of Afton, MO, Kenneth (Dee) Fox of Homosassa, FL, Linda Fox of Moodus, CT, Catherine Fox (Gene) VanBlaricom of Westbrook, CT, Kim (Mark) Castelli of Portland, CT, and Wendy Virgadaula (and Mike D) of Middletown, CT; 14 grandchildren, Shawn, Daniel, Kyle, Melissa, Jess, Mike, Jeff, Felicia, Tyler, Jason, Kelly, Danny, Lindsey, Stacy and 8 great-grandchildren; his 2 siblings, Elizabeth (Tiny) (John) Keely of PA, and brother Kenneth (Skip) Fox (predeceased wife Barbara) of NJ. His relatives John & Chris Sesko of Weston, CT. He was predeceased by his parents and 5 siblings, Kathleen Fox, Veronica Conforti, Dorothy Marturano, Adelaide Chatterton & Frank Fox.
A celebration of Rick's life will be held at a future date.
