John "Ted" Edwin Snapp, age 63, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2014. He was born in Chicago, IL on July 8, 1950 to John Gilmour Snapp and Theresa Fixari. Ted was part of the class of 1968 at Benet Academy in Lisle, IL. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Debra June Kubinski Snapp, his children Derek Scott Snapp and Robin Amy Snapp, and his sister Amy Rose Snapp of Downers Grove, IL.
Ted and his family moved to Melbourne, FL in 1980 where he was a US Postal Service Letter Carrier and member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Union at Eau Gallie Post Office. He retired in 2005 after 34 years with the USPS.
Ted was an avid gardener who took great pride in sharing the fruits (and vegetables) of his labor. He also enjoyed fishing, horseshoes, crossword puzzles, and all Chicago sports, especially White Sox baseball. He will be greatly missed by many.
He was a big supporter of St. Jude and it would be in his wishes to donate there in lieu of flowers. A small private service will be held at a later date.
