John David Osborne, (Dave), age 90,a resident of Melbourne, FL formerly of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away at home on December 4, 2025. Born in Cold Spring, NY on September 8, 1935, he was the son of the late Chester Osborne and Helen Lamont.
He was a graduate of Beacon High School in Beacon, NY. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
On April 15, 1962 he married Katherine Patricia Hughes (Pat), who survives at home. He was a carpenter for many years and was involved in many projects in Dutchess County, NY including the building of Spackenkill High School. He then worked with his wife at Osborne's Flower Shop and they together built a successful business for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Scott and his great granddaughter, Mia.
Along with his wife of 63 years, Dave is survived by his 2 daughters: Lori Lombardi (Wayne Lindell) and Kathy McQuade. His sister, Nancy Salinas, San Jose, CA. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Nicole Lombardi, Kyle Palmer, Kelly Palmer, Cassandra McQuade and Connor Osborne. Great grandchildren: Anthony, Hailey, Olivia, Lucas and CJ as well as many nieces and nephews.
He will have a Military Funeral on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL at 11:30 a.m. Anyone wanting to attend must arrive by 11:15 and park in lane C.
