Obituary

John James Myers, 69, of Palm Bay, FL passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 after a hard fought battle with Lung Cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Anne (Pavelka) Myers, his sisters, Roberta (Bobbi) Large and Shirley Alferink. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Donna (Tschinkel) Myers of Palm Bay, FL; son, John R. (Jeannie) Myers and daughter, Lynette P. (Robert) Levy; grandson, Nicholas (Tiffany) Levy of Royal Palm Beach, FL; great granddaughter, Kaylin; and brother, Jesse (Lisa) Wright of Jupiter, FL.

John relocated from the Metro Atlanta area in 2011 to Palm Bay, FL and retired after 35 years of Sales in Construction products. In his younger years, he served as an Ashtabula County, OH Marine Patrol Deputy Sheriff and member of the SCUBA underwater Search and Recovery Team. He also served the Riviera Beach Police Department as motorcycle patrolman and sergeant, and as a police officer in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

John was a devoted family man and good neighbor, who loved life and his dogs, Sparky and Sadie. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and recently completed a 2600 mile road trip with his son John, cruising through 5 States.

At his request there will be no services. Donations may be made in John's memory to: Hospice of Health First, 1900 Dairy Rd, Melbourne, FL 32904 or an animal rescue shelter of your choice.
