John Wilson Minnick, Jr., 53, of Vero Beach, Florida formally of Melbourne passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on June 20, 2015.

He was born June 14, 1962 in Japan and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 6 years. Born into a military family, Mr. Minnick lived and traveled to many states but eventually settled in Brevard County and raised his own family.

Mr. Minnick was an avid NASCAR fan who recently visited Daytona and Homestead with his daughter and son in law.

He leaves his memories to be cherished by his daughter and full time care giver, Amanda (Mark) Howard of Vero Beach; sons, David Minnick of Texas and Johnny Minnick, III of Vero Beach; mother, Joan Minnick of Melbourne; sister, Mary Minnick of Melbourne; uncle, Robert "Bob" Costello of Atlanta, GA and granddaughter, Priscilla Elizabeth Maldonado. He was predeceased by his father, John W. Minnick, Sr.
