John Joseph Kelly, Jr, 70 passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015. Born in Norfolk, VA, son of the late John Joseph and Margaret Lucille (Kline) Kelly. He was the beloved husband of Sara Janet (Shannon) Kelly for the past 32 years. Loving father of Wendy Lee Parsley, Heather Lynn Zubec, John Michael Boyer, and Jason David Boyer. Grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 2.

Mr. Kelly had been employed by the Kennedy Space Center for 44 years, until his retirement in 2009. Before retiring, he worked with the Space Shuttle team on the fleet records maintenance crew, John knew every part of those shuttles. He shook the hand of many an astronaut while he worked there, and loved being part of history.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the DAVIS-SEAWINDS Funeral Home,
560 Montreal Avenue, Melbourne. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:00pm. Burial will be private.
