John J Healey SR 72 passed away on June 24th 2015 after a valiant battle with a long term illness.
He was born to John S Healey and Mildred (Cotugno) Healey on August 25th 1942 in Framingham MA.
He joined the US Marine Corps in 1959 and left in 1963 as a Corporal. After serving his country he worked construction in Boston MA until 1974 when he joined the Ashland Fire Department where he was promoted to lieutenant after earning his Associate's Degree in Fire Science and was one of the first EMTs on the Department. He was also past president of Ashland Fire Department and the Professional Firefighters of MA Local 1893.
He is survived by his wife Joan Hebden ,Daughter, Kristen Healey Quaranto, and Jacquelyn Ghilani Haviland, step daughters Coni Hebden, Lisa Hebden Caruso, and sister Joan Vittori. He also leaves 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by son John J Healey Jr and stepson Michael J Hebden.
A memorial service will be held at John A Matarese Funeral Home Ashland MA on July 15th 2015 at 11 AM
